The Custom Design Studio brings bold ideas to life through custom projects and orders. While the Boston Scientific eStore features a fresh lineup of ready-to-order branded merchandise, the Custom Design Studio supports logo branded items for custom orders that require products and decoration methods not shown on the BSC eStore. 

With access to 400+ brands and over 200,000 products, as well as unique decoration methods and expert guidance, the Merchology team helps ideate, source, produce, and deliver custom merchandise tailored for any initiative, event, or other opportunity. From ideation to order, the process is designed to be seamless, collaborative, and timely.

How the Custom Design Studio Process Works: 

IMPORTANT NOTE: The overall timeline for custom projects is dependent on the scope and scale of your vision. Factors that impact your timeline include, but are not limited to: quantity of products requested, type or brand of products chosen, and shipping details (i.e. shipping to one location or multiple). Our product experts will provide a more exact timeline once we learn more about your project needs.

1. Submit a request

Let us know you're interested! Reach out to the Merchology team at bostonscientific@merchology.com or use this form.

2. Project Discovery

Share your project goal, any inspiration or ideas you may have, the deadline of your project, shipping location or locations, and any other relevant information with the Merchology team.

If you would like to customize your product(s) with a logo that does not include Boston Scientific branding, the Merchology team will need to request approval from Boston Scientific prior to order placement to ensure your items meet Boston Scientific brand guidelines.

3. Explore Curated Solutions

The Merchology team will provide suggested solutions for your custom project. This can include, but is not limited to, providing suggested products, styles, or branded merchandise designs.

This process takes 3-5 days for our team to build the initial lookbook, which will include suggested products as well as guidance for how long your order will take to create and ship depending on the product(s) you select.

4. Collaborate and Refine

To ensure the final product aligns with project goals, the team will review feedback, offer additional options, and help narrow down selections as needed.  Once you have made your final selections, including sizing and color selection, our team can provide a quote. A typical quote can be completed and delivered to you within 1-3 business days.

5. Order Placement

After receiving your final quote, you’ll be ready to complete your order.

For orders paid by credit card, a cart link will be sent to you from a Merchology representative for review and checkout.

For orders paid by PO, a Merchology representative will begin processing the order when the PO number is provided by you.

6.  Artwork Approval

After your order is paid for, the Merchology team will create a proof of your custom designs so you can see exactly what your finished product(s) will look like. Your proof arrives 2-3 business days after your order is placed. You have 48 hours after receiving the proof(s) via email to approve or request edits. If you do not contact Merchology within 48 hours, your proof(s) will be automatically approved and we will begin to customize your product(s).

7. Production and Fulfillment

Branded merchandise is made-to-order and can be shipped to one location or multiple locations, depending on project needs. Time to ship will vary based on the product(s) ordered, order size, location(s) the product(s) are shipped to, and other factors.

Made-to-order means that Merchology begins production after your order is placed, ensuring that each item is customized specifically for your project.
